Frequently asked questions
Will a CITA charger work with my car?
Yes. CITA chargers use the Type 2 (AC) and CCS2 (DC) standards used by BYD, MG, Hyundai, Toyota, Tesla, BMW, Audi and most other EVs sold in Pakistan.
Can I install a charger on a single-phase home connection?
Yes. A 7 kW charger runs on standard single-phase supply. For 11 kW or 22 kW you'll need a three-phase connection, and our survey team can advise you on upgrading it.
Does it work with solar or a UPS / generator?
Yes. Our smart chargers can be scheduled to use solar power during the day. We check your inverter capacity during the site survey.
Are the chargers safe in heat and rain?
Yes. They are IP-rated against dust and water, with built-in protection against over-voltage, under-voltage, overheating and earth leakage, so they cope with Pakistani summers and monsoon rain.
How long does installation take?
Most home installations are finished in a single day after the survey. Commercial and DC projects depend on site work and usually take 1–3 weeks.
